Title: Navigability Determination Area (NAD83)
Abstract:
The Navigability Determination Areas are defined by individual navigability determinations, reports, and documents. Each navigability determination lists the Meridian, township, range, and section that have been studied in a navigabilty report. Each section that has been studied in the navigability determination is determined to contain or not to contain navigable waters. The cumulative area that is covered by a navigability determination is said to enclose a Navigability Determination Area. Each Navigability Determination Area is assigned a unique identifier, a document name, subject, purpose, date of report, and document images.

The Navigability Determination Areas are outlines of the area studied by an individual navigability report and are intended to provide a graphic or spatial depiction of the of the areas that have been the subject of navigability determination reports.

    Date: 15-Jul-2013 (process 1 of 1)
    As Navigability Determination documents are entered in the Navigability Application by navigability specialists and reviewed/approved by the Navigability Section chief Navigability Determination Area polygon areas are created.
    PLSS Sections that were listed in the Navigability Determination document are dissolved into single mutipolygons that represent the Navigability Determination Area.
